How To Have A Fairy Tale Romance

by Jennifer Good

Growing up we all dream of the perfect relationship. Our dreams are reiterated over and over in the childhood classic movies and books we watched and read. But, once we hit the "real world", it seems that those dreams we've tried so hard to keep, always end up breaking in pieces all around us. This often leads to the viewpoint that finding and maintaining that fairy tale romance is futile and hopeless. There is one exception… that loving couple whom seems to have everything together. How many times have you questioned, "Why can't we be like them?" The truth is, every couple can be like this by following the traits of the characters you formed your dream relationship from. Start living your life the way you want to by applying the following traits of a fairy tale couple today!

Leave no doubt of your affection.

In romances you'll notice how the main pursuer is usually always up front about their feelings. Never do they let them believe otherwise. Take a look at your relationship (or past ones). Does your partner really know exactly how you feel? When was the last time you told them why you loved them or showered them with unexpected attention for no reason? If it's been awhile… do it now!

Value your relationship.
Most fairy tales involve the characters going through a tremendous obstacle to actually be able to be together. Overcoming those obstacles teach the couple how valuable the relationship and each other are. In real life it is easy to forget how important your relationship actually is. It may not seem like you've overcome great feats to be together, but if you think about it you could be alone still searching for someone. Think about how you would feel or what you would do if for some reason you would never see your partner again after today. How would that affect you? Make an effort to show your partner how much you value them and your relationship.

Defend and respect your partner.
When watching or reading a romance you'll notice how the characters never disrespect each other. Also, if some injustice has occurred towards their partner they are the first to stand up for them. There is something in doing those two things that completely changes the dynamics of a relationship. Imagine how you would feel if you witnessed your partner defending you or speaking highly of you to someone else. Make it a point to be there for your partner when they need it most and to show how much you respect them.

Don't evaluate or criticize your partner.

If a character in a romance overly criticized or tried to change the other character, the romance would never take place. Why? Because no one wants to be reminded of their faults or shortcomings, especially from someone who is supposed to love them unconditionally. A relationship is a place where each partner can feel completely and totally free with each other without judgment. It should be a haven where you go when outside forces close in. The next time you feel the urge to say something that isn't positive towards your partner… don't. Accept them for who they are… completely.

Don't let outside sources influence your relationship.

The number one antagonist in a fairy tale is a third party trying to destroy a relationship. Many times it's not even intentional. Outside influences are one of the largest causes of strife in a relationship. Take a look at your relationship now. Is there anything you both frequently argue about? Chances are it's been caused by an outside influence. The next time you feel the need to criticize, judge or argue with your partner make sure it's actually something that originated from you. If someone tells you something about your partner, first check the validity of the source and then confront your partner in an adult manner. Don't first assume what the person said was true. This is trait is especially important when it comes to family members.

Last, but definitely not least, don't do anything to cause a lack of affection from your partner.
Not all fairy tales have a happy ending. When they don't it's almost always because one of the characters did something to make the other fall out of love with them. Your partner can only love you as much as you give reason for them to love you. Don't jeopardize your relationship by doing something you know will cause them to lose their trust, faith and/or love in you. It's not worth it… ever.

5 Secrets to Staying In Love

5 Secrets to Staying In Love
by Jennifer Good

Just about everyone wants to know how they can make their relationship better. They want to know how they can deepen the commitment and love between each partner. Unfortunately relationships are not something you can provide a "to do" sheet for and all will be solved, but with these five key secrets you can certainly improve your chances for getting all you desire out of your relationship.

Do things unexpectedly.
One key secret to a successful relationship is compromise. Meeting halfway on things shows your partner that you really do care about their viewpoint and you are willing to work on making each other happy. Every so often make it a point to do something that you normally would not agree to or feel like doing. When you keep your partner constantly surprised by your actions, you regenerate that "new love" feeling time and time again. So, when your partner asks if you want to try that new restaurant…say yes! If they ask if you want to try a new hobby…say yes!

Show your loyalty.
Nothing strengthens a relationship quite like watching your partner go to bat for you, especially against close friends or family members. It shows that you consider your relationship a team. If you harass one member of a team, you harass them all. When you side with other people against your partner you make them feel alienated and the seeds of hidden resentment become planted. You can show loyalty positively as well by bragging about your partner's recent accomplishments to friends and family.

Be supportive.
Challenges and opportunities are always going to occur. You can't stop them from happening. Hopefully for both of you the changes in your lives are positive ones. The secret key here is having a supporting and understanding mate in your corner to help you through your ups and downs. If you lose your job, it's quite a bit easier to bounce back when you have someone who's willing to support your choices and any new directions you might want to branch out to. If you want a career or lifestyle change, imagine the difference having someone who will carefully consider and support those changes? When your partner is presenting you with a challenge or an opportunity, treat them the way you'd want to be treated.

Maintain a healthy dose of individuality.
Personal time and space are essential to growing individually. Everyone one needs private time to do the things they want to do. It helps refocus attention to the priorities. Sometimes you or your partner may just need time to release emotions from a bad day, instead of bringing it home with them. Learning to respect and notice when your partner needs some individual time shows that you are committed to not only your relationship, but their long-term happiness as well.

Love your partner.

Love is obviously a crucial element in a successful long-term relationship. But having love isn't enough. You need to be in love. The phrase "love is a verb, not a noun" certainly applies here. Don't hesitate to write that quick love note, give that deep kiss, sit next to each other at a restaurant or hold hands in public. The little things go a long way towards establishing a deep, intimate connection with your partner. As simple as it sounds, this action is probably the most commonly overlooked and ignored.

my first big project!

Just to share my proudness...:p

view at main lobby. actually the main feature wall tu ialah 'wicker'.The ideas tu inspired dari anyaman tikar or bakul.cantik kan?

yang ni pulak view dari pintu-pintu dari conference room.I like the idea of vertical dark grey color door frame tu.

Ni pulak view dari pantry&lounge.Gile canggih kan?LCD tv32" tu belum letak lagi.Bestnya lah kalau aku punya office cam ni ..tengok AFC channel setiap jam.

view dari depan auditorium.Mula-mula nak buat the whole wall tu pakai colored glass. So nanti dia nampak macam 'bird nest' floating from the ground:p.so warna-warni but budgetnya too tight so just buat random vertical element je..but not so bad rite?

sengaja buatkan random,taklah terlalu boring.

Yang ni ialah pantry! i suka lime green colored glass tu.nampak sedap!

yang ni pun sama, kat main lobby..
so nanti i update lagi photos yang dah siap construction.now, masih lagi under construction.bukan senang jadi designer ni.penat ulang-alik pegi site hari-hari.oppsie..lupa nak mention, project ni ialah University of Hospitality for Berjaya Times Square.size dia tu 75% of 11th floor and the other one 20% of 14th floor which is the same level with Berjaya Hotel Ballroom kat times square tu.yang tingkat 14 tu most of it is a restaurant..
